The Interior Space
When you step inside the front door of Rosecliffe, the open concept hall and skylight create a welcoming space featuring a wool cruel work tapestry from Darjeeling and huge antique mirror. The oval oak dining table seats 6 comfortably on antique oak pressback chairs. Dine enjoying a view out over the garden and bay
 

Our Asian Livingroom :

Experience a journey to the 'Far East', combined with the blissful serenity of the escarpment panorama overlooking the bay. The hand stitched tapestry above the fireplace is traditional Bangladeshi 'narshikata'. Unique one-of-a-kind Bangladesh brass pieces can be found throughout the room. Unusual wall hangings and books from Darjeeling and Thailand add to the variety of 'stimuli for the mind and eye'. Suite features include; 2 sofas, 1 love seat, 1 large arm chair, 1 antique rocker, a fireplace (electric), satellite TV and semi ensuite powder room.
 

The Kitchen

The bright spacious kitchen has ample cupboard space, a microwave, stove , fridge, and fireplace (electric).
It seats 6 comfortably and has direct access out onto the natural ledge rock patio.

Sleeping in this delightful 'garden' room features two windows overlooking the 'secret garden' of country perennials, nestled against a backdrop of the cedar lined escarpment. A queen sleigh bed with down duvet, a 1912 antique elm dresser, local artists’ work feature a rose stain glass by Marsha Dubois and primula print by Elizabeth Sander, accent this cozy room.
Sleeping in this large light room is really about being 'spoiled naturally'. The huge picture window overlooks the cedar forest, wild country perennial garden, UNESCO biosphere escarpment and pristine blue-green waters of Colpoys' Bay. Sit by the window and 'soak up the serenity', read or rest. Room features include; one queen bed (with duvet), sitting area sofa, original oil paintings by Blanche Scott and direct access semi-ensuite full bathroom.
The maple single bed looks directly over the bay. Your spirit will be calmed and your eyes stimulated by the rich colorful  wall hangings of Bruneian men's sarongs. Brunei is a tiny country located on the north west corner of the island of Borneo. Its rich heritage can be discovered in the room's reading materials. Room features a semi-ensuite powder room.

Upstairs: Full 4 piece bath with shower and large vanity adjoins the Bay Room and has access to the main front hall.
The Powder room: Can be accessed for your convenience from the Brunei and Asia Living rooms.
Downstairs: This full 4 piece bathroom features a Jacuzzi tub.
All linens (towels and bedding are supplied)

Rosecliffe holiday rental is a peaceful holiday retreat property nestled against the Niagara Escarpment on the south shore of Colpoy's Bay. The sunsets are grand. The waters of Georgian Bay are clean & crystal clear. In the evenings, sit by a crackling campfire and watch the dark sky fill with stars.

This entirely private ledgerock patio features a 6 seat patio set , garden shed, and BBQ . It over looks the bay under the shade of a big birch tree.

Read to your hearts content on the cedar furniture in the secluded "secret" garden.

Wild perennial beds surround the property. Many lovely secluded spots are yours to discover

Rosecliffe B&B road sign and flowerbeds welcome you to your country cottage where you will be 'spoiled naturally'. Warm weather at Rosecliffe means enjoying the shoreline. Swimming, fishing, campfires, bird watching, stargazing or just resting by the water sooth souls. Cooler weather means enjoying spring flowers, fall colours, leisurely strolls, artisan shops or hiking.

Guidelines for Rosecliffe Rental

Because Rosecliffe is on a septic system, a maximum of 6 adult guests can be accomodated for sleeping at any one time. Up to 2 additional daytime guests are welcome per day.

There is ample parking for a maximum of 6 vehicles. In consideration of others who follow your stay, it is requested that you replace/fill any supplies you may have used up .ie. propane tank on BBQ, or some basic staples in the kitchen. Also, we request that you would be good enough to leave Rosecliffe in exactly the same condition (clean) as the day you arrived. A detailed rental agreement entitled Guidelines for Rosecliffe Holiday Home Rental will be sent to you for signing prior to final confirmation of your booking.

There is a picnic table at the waters' edge for your enjoyment.

Rental Rates

  • 4day (minimum) @$200/night = $800
  • 7day @ $200/night= $1400
  • any other number of nights eg.more than 4 also  at $200/night   
  • $100 property security deposit requied in cash upon arrival (to be returned at the end of your stay, if the home is left in exactly the same condition as when you arrived ie. no damage, nothing missing and no excessive cleaning required) 

A deposit of $500 for each rental is required (cheque or money order) a minimum of two weeks prior to your
requested booking date, along with your signed rental agreement. The balance is due upon arrival. (cash, cheque, money order). Receipts issued on request.
