Specializing in Aerobic Systems for the Protection of the Environment and Drinking Water

"Statistics show that Howard's quality of workmanship in the installation of sewage systems exceeds
the provincial average in the need for repair of systems - installed as early as 1970 "

Aerobic Sewage Systems (1974 reg.)

It has become apparent in the last few years that we need to change the way we have been treating our environment. One major concern has been our water and sewage quality. For those who wish to find a better sewage solution for their home or cottage, there are other alternatives.

These solutions have been in available for more than 35 years, and some of the systems installed 35 years ago are still being used efficiently today!

Howard E. Hills has been providing Sewage Solutions to homes and cottages for over 25 years. Different homes need different solutions, and it is important to find one that suits the needs and requirements of each individual or individual site.. Howard E. Hills has the knowledge and experience to find the right solution for your home.

How do they work?
They work by aerating the waste, allowing the sewage to breakdown: solids are retained in the treatment tank, with a clear supernatant (effluent) to be disposed of on site.

What are the advantages to having an Aerobic Systems Solution?

  • Disposal area can be reduced by 50% or more
  • Fiberglass and poly tanks available for ease of installation (e.g. for remote areas)
  • Professional service always available
  • Tertiary quality available on some units
  • All levels of treatment and usage volume can be engineered

CMS - Rotor Disk - Sales - Service - Installations

AN EFFECTIVE BIOLOGICAL PROCESS
ROTORDISK® systems are Rotating Biological Contractors (RBCs) which utilize naturally occurring micro-organisms to consume organic matter and nutrients from wastewater. They consist of a series of closely spaced disks mounted on a horizontal shaft which is driven by a low horsepower motor. Wastewater to be treated flows into the ROTORZONE, where the partially submerged disks slowly rotate. A film of micro-organisms (biomass) is formed on the disk surface and is alternately exposed to the wastes in the water and oxygen in the air. The rotation also serves to control the accumulation of biomass on the disks. Excess biomass settles rapidly in the final clarifier and is removed periodically.

The ROTORDISK® advantages are:

  • Energy Efficient: No blowers or compressors needed along with little or no pumping requirements.
  • Treatment Stability: The large inventory of active biomass on the disks resists surges in waste strength or flow.
  • Efficient Treatment: Four Stages of treatment maximize effectiveness.
  • Minimum Labour: Simple operation as no complex sludge monitoring or handling is required.
  • Low Maintenance: A minimum of mechanical components.
  • Compact Design: Complete process contained within small footprint.
  • Inoffensive Operation: Enclosed system controls odors and limits noise.
  • Modular Design: Easily expanded as required for optimum sizing and minimal capital cost.

Singulair ® Systems

The Singulair ® System, engineered and designed by Norweco ®, utilizes biological processes to convert incoming wastewater into clear, odorless and organically stable liquid. The introduction of oxygen into wastewater promotes a rapid growth of aerobic microorganisms.

Neighborhood and Backyard Friendly

Your Norweco Singulair ® Treatment System is designed to be unnoticed. That means NO mounds. No odors, NO sheds, NO eyesores. Designed with the end-user in mind, the Singulair ® System is installed to grade and easily blended to your yard. As a homeowner, you will receive the benefits of wastewater treatment without all the headaches!

Proven Technology Has Never Been Replaced

Utilizing a natural, biological treatment process your Singulair ® Treatment plant only gets better with age. Unlike some onsite treatment systems that require their treatment media to be replaced, the Singulair ® System actually performs even better with age as it gives the biological process time to mature.

Ecoflo Peat Filters

The Ecoflo Peat Filters are a peat-based biofiltration system designed to protect public health and environment. Conventional septic systems treat wastewater using sand, gravel or natural soil, whose quality and availability vary from one site to the next. The Ecoflo peat filters use sphagnum peat moss, a natural filtering medium of uniform quality that is ideal for removing and retaining contaminants until they are broken down. The compact design allows optimum use of any property.

Simple and Safe Operating Principal

The process is simple; wastewater from the septic tank flows into the Ecoflo peat filters and is evenly distributed over the surface of the peat by a patented system with no electrical components. The wastewater is clarified as it percolates down through the peat, and the treated effluent is then dispersed for infiltration into the native soil or discharged into a watercourse.

NAYADIC Wastewater Treatment Systems

It's Simple

No internal moving parts tp maintain or replace.
Durable, lightweight fiberglass construction

The unique design of the NAYADIC System enables it to provide an exceptionally high degree of treatment with only minimal maintenance requirements. The single tank concept requires no internal moving parts. The compressor, which supplies air to the plant, can be located either inside an adjacent building(i.e. basement, garage etc) or provided with a protective housing if is installed outside.
